A Fine Art Giclée is an archival inkjet reproduction of flat
art. It is printed from a digital file created by photographing the original
artwork with a high resolution digital camera in a properly lit copy
environment. If the file is produced out of lab, it should contain a
standardized color bar for reference. It is also necessary for us to have the
original piece available for reference. If the original is not available
during the print process, no-charge remakes will not be considered.
The printing technician makes adjustments to the file to reproduce the
original artwork. This includes both global and localized corrections. The
resulting file is output as a small test print and evaluated for additional
adjustments. This process is repeated as needed to reasonably match the
original within the limitations of the media. Corrections to files produced
out of lab or from copy negatives may be subject to digital edit charges. A
final test print is output for your approval. If a test print review is
waived, our judgment is final.
After viewing the test print, if you feel additional global corrections are
needed to come close to the feel of the original, a second test will be
produced with the corrections at no charge. Additional area or tonal specific
corrections are subject to a digital editing charge. One small 5x7 or 8x10
test print is included with the print price and will remain the property of
TCR. Any additional test prints are $15.00.
Keep in mind it is
virtually impossible to match an original piece of art 100%. Some of the
colors that exist in the art world, as in nature, are not achievable with
pigmented inks.
Panoramic Fine Art Giclée Prints of an unusual size will be
quoted as follows:
If the shortest dimension is 20" or less, then $.15/sq inch
If the shortest dimension is between 20” and 30", then $.14/sq
inch
If the shortest dimension is between 30" and 40" then
$.13/sq inch
If the shortest dimension is over 40”, then $.12/sq inch
Service time is 3 to 5 business days. 2 days, add 25%; Next day, add
50%;
Same day, add 100%. Please allow additional time for other
services required (laminate, mounting, etc.)
Choice of matte, glossy or metallic canvas or various Fine Art papers.
